Closing Your Pool With Rain Forest Blue

Pool Closing Instructions:
(NOTE: If you are currently using a biguanide product, wait until spring to switch to Rain Forest Blue - see instructions.)
Step ONE: Remove any debris, vacuum and shock with chlorine or a non-chlorine shock
Step Two: Adjust pH to read between 7.2 and 7.6
Allow water to stabilize after adding pH or alkalinity adjusting chemicals.
Step Three: Determine pool size and add add one ounce of Rain Forest Blue per 500 gallons of water. It is recommend that you pre-dilute the the product in a bucket and spread evenly around the sides of the pool. Set pool for maximum circulation to evenly disperse product.
(follow all warnings and cautions on product label!)
Step Four: Test for copper level the day AFTER adding product. Copper levels should read between .6 and 1ppm.
Step Five: Back-flush, clean and close filter and pumps as normal.
Areas with high calcium levels should add the recommend amount of product in incremental doses over a period of a week or more
(NOTE: Rain Forest Blue is not recommended for gunite or concrete pools that are less than one year old. Not recommended for natural stone pools. Rain Forest Blue is not available in California)
